About the Role

Our client, a dynamic manufacturing company located in Guadalajara , is looking for an experienced General Accountant with a strong background in costing and budgeting. This role is pivotal in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing critical insights into cost management and budget control. The General Accountant will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyze variances between presente results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles (NIF) and tax regulations.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.




- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in general accounting, with a significant focus on cost accounting and budgeting.
- Solid understanding of Mexican accounting principles (NIF).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to work effectively remotely and occasionally in the office in Guadalajara.
