About the Role

Our client, a prominent organization based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, is looking for a results-driven Compras professional to step into the role of Gerente de Compras. This strategic position involves overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying needs and selecting suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance. The adecuado candidate will have a robust background in procurement, exceptional negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective sourcing strategies that align with our client's business objectives, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and reliability of supply. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives.
- Oversee all aspects of the purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.




- Manage and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies within the supply chain.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans where necessary.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and KPIs to senior management.
- Drive innovation in procurement processes and technologies.

Requirements

- Significant experience in a senior procurement or purchasing role.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving cost savings.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market analysis, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software (ERP systems, e-sourcing tools).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant professional certifications are a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
