Key Responsibilities

- Perform fiber optic cable installation, including aerial, underground, and internal cabling.
- Execute fiber optic splicing (fusion and mechanical) with precision and efficiency.
- Terminate fiber optic connectors and prepare cables for connection.
- Test fiber optic lines using OTDR, optical power meters, and other relevant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair fiber optic network faults and damages.
- Interpret network diagrams and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and company quality guidelines.




- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and documentation.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in telecommunications or electronics is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Proven ability in fiber optic splicing and termination techniques.
- Experience operating and interpreting results from OTDR, VFL, and power meters.
- Understanding of fiber optic network principles and components.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and blueprints.
- Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to work in various conditions, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work versátil hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
