We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Project Manager with a deep expertise in networking to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of our enterprise-level core infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level project management methodologies and complex network engineering execution.
The adecuado candidate does not just track timelines; they possess the technical acumen to actively interface with network architects, understand routing/switching complexities, and smoothly steer large-scale data centre migrations, hardware refreshes, and cloud networking transformations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects (LAN/WAN overhauls, firewalls, SD-WAN deployment, data centre migrations, and cloud integrations) from initiation through to service transition.
- Scope & Schedule Management: Define project scope, create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), manage dependencies, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Technical Interface: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical network engineering teams, translating business requirements into technical milestones.
- Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks, particularly technical bottlenecks in network architecture or deployment, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Vendor & Resource Management: Manage third-party vendors, ISP procurement, circuit provisioning, and equipment delivery timelines, ensuring cross-functional engineering resource alignment.
- Change Governance:
Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure network implementations comply with internal change management procedures and minimize network downtime.
Required Technical Skills & Networking Knowledge
- Network Architecture: Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), Switching (VLANs, STP), and Load Balancing.
- Infrastructure Components: Familiarity with deploying and upgrading enterprise hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba).
- Network Security: Practical knowledge of Next-Gen Firewalls, VPN architectures, Zero Trust network access, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Cloud & Modern Technologies: Direct experience working on projects involving Cloud Networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute) and SD-WAN architectures.
- Project Management Tooling: Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies using tools like MS Project, Jira, or Confluence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated IT Project Management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex network infrastructure deployments.
- Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
- Technical/Networking: CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional) or equivalent validation of technical proficiency.
- Frameworks: ITIL foundation foundation or higher.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder communication skills, strategic negotiation ability, and a collaborative mindset capable of navigating high-pressure deployment windows
