About the Role

Our client, a reputable manufacturer of aircraft components, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Aeronautical Quality Engineer to join their team in Morelia, Michoacán, MX. This is an essential on-site role focused on ensuring that all manufactured products meet the stringent quality standards required by the aerospace industry. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, conducting inspections, audits, and analyses, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. The adecuado candidate possesses a strong understanding of quality control methodologies, relevant aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100), and inspection techniques. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest levels of product quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 and other relevant aerospace standards.
- Conduct internal audits and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.




- Manage non-conforming materials and products, ensuring proper disposition and documentation.
- Participate in product development processes to ensure quality is built into new designs.
- Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
- Prepare quality reports and metrics for management review.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial) or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality engineering, specifically within the aerospace or defense industry.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and quality management systems.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience with inspection tools and techniques.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
- Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Morelia, Michoacán, MX.
