About the Role

Our client, a significant entity within the hidrocarburos industry, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Especialista en Logística y Cadena de Suministro to join their team in Mérida, Yucatán . This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and products related to hydrocarbon operations. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and inventory to transportation and distribution. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, capable of navigating the complexities of integral logistics in the energy sector. We are looking for a professional who can drive improvements, optimize workflows, and ensure the seamless operation of our supply chain to support our production and distribution goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize holding costs.
- Oversee transportation operations, including carrier selection, negotiation, and performance management.
- Coordinate the procurement of goods and services necessary for operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs, trade, and transportation regulations.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and manage supply chain technologies and systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments (operations, finance, sales)



to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Contribute to risk management strategies within the supply chain.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the hidrocarburos or related industries.
- Proven experience in inventory management, transportation, and warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain software and planning tools.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
- English proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Experience in the Mexico market is highly desirable.
