About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in aerospace manufacturing, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team in Hermosillo, Sonora, MX . This is a critical on-site role where you will be responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness within our production facilities. You will work hands-on with production teams, analyze existing workflows, and implement innovative solutions for complex manufacturing challenges. The adecuado candidate possesses a strong background in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and a deep understanding of aerospace materials and production techniques. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring our manufacturing operations meet the highest industry standards and contribute to the successful delivery of cutting-edge aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and validate new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Design and optimize production layouts and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, quality assurance, and production staff, to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Oversee the implementation of new equipment and tooling, ensuring proper integration into production.




- Conduct capability studies and statistical process control (SPC) analysis.
- Train production personnel on new processes and best practices.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, and other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of aerospace materials and quality standards is a significant advantage.
- Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Hermosillo, Sonora, MX.
