About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Ingeniero de Soporte de Redes to join their global IT infrastructure team, supporting operations in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas . Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network incidents and service requests. Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN technologies. Analyze network performance data to identify root causes of problems and implement proactive solutions. Configure, manage, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Develop and implement network monitoring and alerting strategies. Collaborate with other IT teams (systems, security, applications) to resolve cross-functional issues.



Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in network design and capacity planning discussions. Stay current with industry trends and emerging network technologies. Mentor junior support staff and share technical knowledge.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in network support, administration, or engineering. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and other core networking protocols. Hands‑on experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba). Experience with network security principles and tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, ping, traceroute. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. Experience with network automation or scripting is a plus.
