About the Role

Our client, a growing agricultural company with operations in the State of Mexico, is looking for a qualified Especialista en Sanidad Vegetal y Cultivos (Plant Health and Crop Specialist). This role will focus on ensuring the optimal health and productivity of various crops grown by the company. You will be responsible for diagnosing plant diseases, identifying pest issues, and recommending effective management strategies. The idóneo candidate will have a solid foundation in plant pathology, entomology, and agronomy, along with practical experience in crop management and protection. This position offers a blend of field work and analysis, contributing significantly to the success of our agricultural endeavors in Naucalpan, State of Mexico .

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor crops regularly to detect signs of diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Diagnose plant health issues accurately and recommend appropriate treatment and control measures.
- Implement and manage plant protection strategies, including integrated pest management (IPM) techniques.
- Advise on best practices for fertilization, irrigation, and other cultivation techniques to promote crop health.
- Conduct field trials and evaluations of new crop protection products or methods.
- Maintain detailed records of crop health, pest and disease incidence, and management actions taken.
- Stay updated on emerging plant diseases, pests,



and sustainable agricultural practices.
- Collaborate with farm managers and agronomists to develop and execute crop management plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations regarding pesticide use and environmental safety in Naucalpan, State of Mexico .

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in plant health management, crop protection, or agronomy.
- Strong knowledge of plant pathology, entomology, and common crop diseases and pests.
- Experience with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and practices.
- Ability to conduct field diagnostics and interpret results.
- Familiarity with agricultural chemicals and their safe application is a plus.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel between different farm sites as needed within the State of Mexico .
