About the Role

Our client, a leading quantitative trading firm with a strong focus on digital assets, is seeking an exceptional Ingeniero de Criptomonedas to join their growing team in Guadalajara . This role is central to developing and optimizing sophisticated algorithmic trading strategies across a diverse range of cryptocurrencies and blockchain protocols. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, quantitative modeling, and high-frequency trading systems to identify market inefficiencies and execute profitable trades. This position requires a deep understanding of market microstructure, statistical arbitrage, and risk management within the volatile crypto landscape. You will work closely with portfolio managers and researchers to implement and backtest trading algorithms, ensuring robust performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and backtest high-frequency trading algorithms for cryptocurrency markets.
- Analyze market data to identify trading opportunities and inform strategy development.
- Build and maintain low-latency trading systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the research team to refine quantitative models and trading strategies.
- Monitor trading performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize strategy execution.
- Manage and mitigate trading risks associated with cryptocurrency volatility.
- Stay updated on market trends, new digital assets, and regulatory changes affecting the crypto space.
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of trading infrastructure.
- Conduct post-trade analysis and reporting.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D.



in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in quantitative trading, algorithmic development, or a similar quantitative role, preferably within crypto.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages, with experience in libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, especially cryptocurrency markets and their unique dynamics.
- Experience with backtesting platforms and statistical modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design for high-performance applications.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and exchange APIs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing platforms is a plus.
