About the Role

This vital role involves providing direct support, information, and advocacy to victims of crime, helping them navigate the legal system and cope with the trauma they have experienced. Key Responsibilities

- Provide immediate emotional support and crisis intervention to victims of crime.
- Inform victims about their rights, the legal process, and available resources and services.
- Assist victims in accessing essential services such as medical care, psychological counseling, and legal aid.
- Offer accompaniment and support during legal proceedings and interactions with law enforcement.
- Develop individualized support plans tailored to the specific needs of each victim.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety planning strategies when necessary.
- Maintain confidential and accurate records of client interactions and services provided.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminology, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with victims of crime or in a related support role.
- Solid understanding of victimology, trauma-informed care, and the criminal justice system.
- Excellent active listening, empathy, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and manage sensitive situations.
- Experience in crisis intervention and case management.
- Knowledge of local resources and support networks in Coahuila .
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse professionals and agencies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping.
