About the Role

Our client, a globally connected supply chain solutions provider, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Traffic and International Shipments Coordinator to join their team in Tijuana, Baja California . This hybrid role is crucial for managing the smooth and efficient flow of goods across international borders. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of international freight, including documentation, customs clearance, carrier selection, and shipment tracking. The idóneo candidate possesses a strong understanding of international trade regulations, import/export procedures, and logistics management. Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple complex shipments simultaneously are essential for success in this demanding position. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients' international trade operations run seamlessly and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage the movement of international shipments, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
- Prepare and process all necessary import/export documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and commercial invoices.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to facilitate smooth customs clearance and transit.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate rates and terms with international carriers and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with all international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during international transit.




- Maintain accurate records of all international shipments and related documentation.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to provide quotes and logistical solutions for international clients.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of international shipping processes and procedures.

Requirements

- Proven experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage.
- Solid understanding of international trade regulations, incoterms, and customs procedures for Mexico and key trading partners.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments concurrently.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with shipping management software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, balancing remote and in-office work in Tijuana, Baja California .
