About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Remote Flight Operations Manager to lead and manage flight operations from a virtual setting. This is a critical, fully remote position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational aspects of our flight activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all aviation regulations. The idóneo candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of flight operations, dispatch, and crew management, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. You will be responsible for coordinating flight schedules, managing resources, and ensuring seamless communication between flight crews, maintenance teams, and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of daily flight operations, including flight planning, dispatch, and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Manage flight crew scheduling, duty time limitations, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate effectively with air traffic control, maintenance departments, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor weather conditions and operational status, making timely decisions to ensure safety.
- Lead and mentor the flight operations team, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.




- Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to flight operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and procedures.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in flight operations management or a senior role in aviation operations.
- Proven experience in flight dispatch, crew scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., FARs, EASA regulations).
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience managing remote teams.
- Proficiency in flight operations software and systems.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in crisis situations.
- A dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet and necessary communication tools.
- Valid pilot license or dispatcher certification is a strong asset.
