About the Role

Our client, a prominent construction company known for its high standards and complex projects, is seeking an experienced Jefe de Calidad de Construcción to join their team in Acapulco, Guerrero . This critical role is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet or exceed the company's rigorous quality benchmarks and industry standards. The idóneo candidate will have a deep understanding of quality management systems, inspection processes, and relevant construction codes. You will lead a team of quality inspectors and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to uphold the integrity and durability of our construction projects. This is a key position within our organization, vital to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the construction industry in Guerrero .

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP).
- Oversee and conduct regular inspections of construction work, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Develop and maintain quality control checklists and testing procedures.
- Manage the non-conformance reporting and corrective action process.
- Train and mentor site personnel on quality standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and address potential quality issues.
- Review and approve material submittals, test reports, and quality-related documentation.




- Ensure all quality-related activities comply with project contract requirements and relevant building codes.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Prepare regular quality performance reports for senior management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction quality control and assurance.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) in construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant national and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Certification from a recognized quality organization (e.g., ASQ) is a plus.
