About the Role

Our client, a pioneering firm in aerospace innovation, is seeking a skilled Flight Control Systems Engineer to join their advanced engineering team. This position utilizes a hybrid work model, enabling remote work alongside crucial on-site collaboration at our cutting-edge facility in Querétaro City, Querétaro, MX . You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of sophisticated flight control systems for a variety of aircraft platforms. This role demands a deep understanding of control theory, system dynamics, embedded software, and hardware integration within the aerospace context. The ideal candidate is a proactive and analytical engineer with a passion for developing state-of-the-art flight control solutions. You will work closely with flight dynamics specialists, software developers, and systems integrators to ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of our flight control systems. The hybrid structure allows for focused, in-depth work remotely, complemented by collaborative, hands-on problem-solving on-site.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, analyze, and develop flight control laws and algorithms.
- Develop system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for flight control systems.
- Implement and test flight control software on simulation platforms and target hardware.
- Perform system integration activities, ensuring seamless interaction between flight control computers, actuators, and sensors.
- Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
- Validate system performance against requirements using simulation, analysis, and flight testing.
- Ensure compliance with stringent aerospace standards and certification requirements (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754A).




- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues identified during development, testing, or flight operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and certification dossiers.

Requirements

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on control systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in flight control systems engineering.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of classical and modern control theory.
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with embedded software development for real-time systems.
- Understanding of aerospace systems architecture and integration principles.
- Experience with certification processes for safety-critical systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, including necessary on-site presence in Querétaro City, Querétaro, MX.
