About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-depth research on biological targets and pathways relevant to disease.
- Design, optimize, and execute biochemical assays to screen and characterize potential drug candidates.
- Investigate drug mechanisms of action and conduct preclinical efficacy and safety studies.
- Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists.
- Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, preparing detailed reports and presentations.
- Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions (e.g., IND applications).
- Stay current with the latest advancements in biochemistry, molecular biology, and drug discovery.




- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a positive and productive lab environment.

Requirements

- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in drug discovery and development.
- Extensive experience with a wide range of biochemical and biophysical assay techniques.
- Proven track record of successful target validation and lead compound characterization.
- Strong understanding of molecular mechanisms of disease.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment in Zapopan, Jalisco, MX .
- Prior experience with recombinant protein expression and purification is highly desirable.
