About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Jefe de Obra Estructural to oversee significant construction projects in Saltillo, Coahuila, MX . This pivotal role demands a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of structural engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for site operations, coordinating with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in managing complex structural elements, such as reinforced concrete and steel structures, from foundation to completion. This is an on-site position, requiring full dedication to the project location. Your expertise will be critical in resolving technical challenges, managing risks, and driving project success. The role involves rigorous site supervision and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring optimal project outcomes in a demanding construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct and manage all on-site construction activities for structural components.
- Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and work plans.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, engineers, and site personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and quality control procedures on site.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage site logistics, material procurement, and equipment deployment.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for structural elements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Liaise with clients,



project managers, and design teams to address concerns and provide updates.
- Manage project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
- Oversee the resolution of site-specific technical issues and conflicts.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction management, with a strong focus on structural projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale structural construction (e.g., high-rise buildings, industrial facilities).
- In-depth knowledge of concrete and steel structures, foundations, and building systems.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Strong understanding of Mexican construction codes and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Saltillo, Coahuila, MX .
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is advantageous.
