About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contador Senior to join their dynamic team in Culiacán, Sinaloa . This is a critical role that will involve overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong understanding of Mexican tax laws and financial reporting requirements. We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills and a proven track record in managing complex accounting functions. The role is based in our client's Culiacán office, providing a stable and collaborative work environment. You will work closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are effective.
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.




- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth annual audit process.
- Manage cash flow and banking relationships.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting principles (NIFs) and tax regulations (ISR, IVA).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and internal controls.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; English proficiency is a plus.
