About the Role

Our client, a dynamic multinational corporation, is seeking an experienced Gerente de Compras Internacionales y Logística to oversee and optimize their global procurement and inbound logistics operations. This role, based strategically in Tijuana, Baja California, MX , requires a leader with a proven track record in international sourcing, supply chain management, and cross-border logistics. The ideal candidate will develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely acquisition of goods from international suppliers, while managing complex international shipping and customs procedures. You will be instrumental in building robust global supplier networks and ensuring supply chain resilience in a challenging global market. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for key international suppliers.
- Manage all aspects of international procurement, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Oversee international logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and import/export compliance.
- Optimize inbound supply chain processes to reduce costs, improve lead times, and enhance reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and logistics partners.




- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast international demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the international supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and company policies.
- Analyze market trends and propose strategies to capitalize on global sourcing opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team responsible for international purchasing and logistics functions.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in international procurement, sourcing, and logistics management.
- Proven experience in managing global supply chains and negotiating with international suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and global logistics operations.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management software.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, global environment.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
