About the Role

The idóneo candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Mexican tax laws, including corporate income tax (ISR), value-added tax (IVA), and other relevant fiscal obligations. You will be responsible for tax return preparation, tax planning, transfer pricing documentation, and representing the company during tax audits. This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex tax legislation. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the company's financial integrity and compliance within the highly regulated Mexican tax environment. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time.
- Conduct tax research and analysis on complex tax issues, providing actionable recommendations.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Represent the company in tax audits and communicate effectively with tax authorities.
- Stay abreast of all changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
- Provide tax advice and guidance to other departments on business transactions and decisions.




- Maintain organized tax records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.
- Identify tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A CPA (Contador Público Certificado) is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, preferably with experience in maquiladoras or cross-border operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax laws (ISR, IVA, IEPS, ISAN), including international tax treaties and transfer pricing rules.
- Proven experience in managing tax audits and defending tax positions.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- High level of ethical conduct and professionalism.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
