About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer with experience in specialized structures to join their innovative team in Mérida, Yucatán, MX . This role focuses on the design and analysis of unique and complex structures such as high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, bridges, or other challenging projects requiring advanced engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities

- Design and analyze specialized structures, including high-rise buildings, industrial plants, and complex bridges.
- Perform advanced structural modeling and simulations using state-of-the-art software.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure structural designs meet stringent safety, performance, and code requirements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, geotechnical engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct structural assessments and forensic investigations for existing complex structures.




- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in structural engineering.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering; Master's or PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design of complex and specialized structures.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
- Expertise in advanced structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, material science, and construction methods for specialized projects.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and performance-based design.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience presenting technical information.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, both remotely and in-office.
- Experience with dynamic analysis (e.g., wind, seismic) is highly desirable.
