About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Lawyer to bolster their legal team in Monterrey, Nuevo León . This role is central to ensuring the company operates ethically and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to our business, with a proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of proactively identifying risks and recommending effective compliance strategies. This position operates on a Hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote flexibility and essential in-person collaboration at our Monterrey, Nuevo León offices.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program.
- Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Draft and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide training to employees on compliance matters.
- Investigate potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Advise management on compliance-related issues and best practices.




- Stay informed about emerging compliance trends and challenges.
- Ensure data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, local regulations).

Requirements

- Law degree (LLB or JD) from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, corporate law, or regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on compliance frameworks.
- Admitted to practice law in Mexico.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant national and international regulations (e.g., anti-corruption, data privacy, financial regulations if applicable).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Proficiency in English is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a Hybrid setting, balancing remote and in-office duties in Monterrey, Nuevo León .
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
