This critical role involves the integrated design of mining and processing operations, ensuring optimal metal recovery and economic viability from deposit conception through to extraction and beneficiation. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of geological, mining, and metallurgical expertise, with a strong capability in using advanced modeling and simulation tools to create synergistic designs. Responsibilities will include developing geometallurgical models, optimizing mine plans based on metallurgical variability, and designing processing flowsheet strategies to maximize value. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement geometallurgical models to understand mineral variability.
- Integrate geological data with metallurgical test results to optimize processing strategies.
- Collaborate remotely with geological, mining, and metallurgical teams to define optimal extraction and recovery approaches.
- Design and optimize processing flowsheet parameters based on geometallurgical insights.
- Perform techno-economic evaluations of different mine and process design scenarios.




- Utilize advanced software for modeling and simulation of integrated mining and processing systems.
- Contribute to mine planning by informing selective mining strategies based on metallurgical grades.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on geometallurgical assessments and design recommendations.
- Stay current with advancements in geometallurgy, mineral processing, and mine design.
- Facilitate remote communication and knowledge transfer across project disciplines.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field with a focus on integrated design.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral processing, mine planning, or geometallurgy.
- Proven experience in developing and applying geometallurgical models.
- Strong understanding of mineralogy, beneficiation processes, and their relation to mining.
- Proficiency in relevant modeling and simulation software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, JKSimMet).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and techno-economic evaluation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project tasks efficiently.
- Experience in the Minería sector is essential.
- Familiarity with geological databases and resource estimation principles is beneficial.
