About the Role

Our client, an organization dedicated to enhancing community resilience and safety, is seeking a committed and proactive Trabajador Social de Prevención y Atención de Riesgos to join their team in Acapulco, Guerrero . This role is vital in identifying potential risks within the community, developing and implementing preventative strategies, and providing timely intervention and support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including socio-economic instability, health crises, and safety concerns. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct community assessments to identify potential social, health, and safety risks.
- Develop and implement targeted prevention programs and strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Provide direct intervention and support services to individuals and families facing crises or at risk.
- Connect clients with appropriate community resources, healthcare services, and social support networks.
- Facilitate educational workshops and awareness campaigns on risk prevention topics.
- Collaborate effectively with local authorities, community leaders, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and program documentation.
- Advocate for clients' needs and access to essential services.
- Monitor the effectiveness of prevention and intervention efforts and prepare reports on outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate support as needed.




- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk assessment and intervention protocols.
- Build trust and rapport with community members through consistent and empathetic engagement.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work, community outreach, risk management, or a related role, preferably in crisis intervention or prevention.
- Strong understanding of risk factors, protective factors, and intervention strategies for various community challenges.
- Excellent assessment, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency in community needs assessment and resource mapping.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations effectively.
- Experience in program development and implementation is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage field-based activities effectively.
- Knowledge of local social services, health systems, and emergency response networks in Acapulco, Guerrero .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to community well-being and social justice.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for emergencies or community events.
