About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a qualified and diligent Contador General to manage the day-to-day accounting operations in their Naucalpan, State of Mexico office. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and supporting the finance department's objectives. The adecuado candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Mexican accounting principles and tax laws. This hybrid position offers a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, situated in the vibrant business hub of Naucalpan . We are looking for a professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong problem-solving skills. You will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIFs) and tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns (ISR, IVA).




- Develop and maintain strong internal control systems.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
- Thorough knowledge of Mexican GAAP (NIFs) and tax laws.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Contpaqi, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a hybrid remote/office environment is a plus.
- Proactive attitude and a desire for continuous learning.
