Job Description

As a Hostess, you will create a warm and personalized welcome for every guest while helping the restaurant run smoothly. You will manage reservations and guest information, coordinate with the team, and make sure the host stand is ready throughout each service.

- Welcome guests and escort them to their tables, maintaining a friendly and attentive presence at the restaurant entrance.
- Manage reservations through Open Table, email, group bookings, and other channels; update table assignments and availability as the service progresses.
- Review guest profiles and accurately record preferences, allergies, celebrations, and special requests.
- Prepare and maintain the host stand, menus, guest information, and operational materials, ensuring everything is clean, current, and well presented.
- Coordinate with Supervisors, Managers on Duty, the kitchen, and other teams to communicate reservations, events, guest requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
- Support special dining experiences and events by coordinating details, maintaining records, and preparing the required documentation.
- Respond to operational emails promptly and follow up on requests throughout the shift.
- Prepare the host stand for the next service and provide a clear handover of pending matters and relevant updates.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- A technical degree or bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of experience as a Hostess, restaurant receptionist, Concierge, or in another guest-facing role.
- Experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel, fine-dining restaurant, or high-end resort is preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Experience with Open Table or a similar reservation system.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel and Word, along with professional email writing skills.




- Knowledge of guest profiles, seating strategies, and restaurant flow.
- Basic knowledge of food allergies, dietary restrictions, BEOs, and special dining experiences.
- Strong service orientation, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively across departments.
- Discretion when handling confidential guest information.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, and to participate in internal training and certification.
