About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is looking for bright and motivated backend development interns to join their agile team. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home anywhere in Mexico. You will collaborate closely with our senior engineers to develop, test, and deploy robust backend systems and APIs. Key Responsibilities

- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications.

- Work with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining code quality.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications.
- Stay current with backend technologies and best practices.

Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,



or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of backend programming concepts and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Node.js).
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of API design principles (RESTful).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote environment.
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and adapt.
- Must have reliable internet connectivity and a suitable remote workspace.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
