About the Role

Our client, a popular eatery in Saltillo, Coahuila , is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support their culinary team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, focusing on food preparation, sanitation, and maintaining kitchen organization. Key Responsibilities

- Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Prepare basic food items as directed.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, ensuring they are clean and sanitized.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including countertops, floors, and storage areas.
- Dispose of garbage and recycling properly.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation standards and regulations.




- Receive and store food supplies according to established procedures.
- Support the culinary team as needed during busy service periods.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.
- Understanding of sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work on-site in Saltillo, Coahuila .
