About the Role

Our client, the national air navigation service provider, is seeking highly skilled and certified Air Traffic Controllers to manage air traffic operations at a major international airport. This critical on-site role is based in Mexicali, Baja California, MX . You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic within your assigned airspace. This position demands exceptional situational awareness, quick decision-making abilities under pressure, and a thorough understanding of air traffic control procedures and regulations. You will work within a team environment, coordinating closely with other controllers, pilots, and airport personnel to maintain safety and efficiency. The idóneo candidate must possess current ATCO (Air Traffic Controller Operator) certification and a proven track record of safe operations. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the national airspace system and ensuring the safety of thousands of passengers daily.

Key Responsibilities

- Control and direct air traffic within assigned airspace, including terminal radar approach control (TRACON) and control tower operations.
- Issue clearances, instructions, and advisories to pilots to ensure safe separation of aircraft.
- Monitor radar displays and other surveillance systems to track aircraft movements.
- Coordinate with adjacent control facilities and relevant agencies to ensure seamless traffic flow.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and unexpected situations, implementing contingency procedures.
- Maintain accurate flight progress data and logs.
- Adhere strictly to all air traffic control procedures, regulations, and safety standards.




- Continuously assess and adapt to changing traffic conditions and environmental factors.
- Participate in regular training, evaluations, and skill maintenance activities.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with pilots and other stakeholders using standard phraseology.

Requirements

- Valid and current Air Traffic Controller Operator (ATCO) certification recognized by the relevant aviation authority (e.g., DGAC in Mexico).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an active Air Traffic Controller.
- Proficiency in operating air traffic control systems, including radar, communication equipment, and flight data processing systems.
- Thorough knowledge of air traffic control procedures, airspace regulations, and aviation meteorology.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must possess a valid medical certificate for air traffic controllers.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Must be available for full-time, on-site work in Mexicali, Baja California, MX.
