About the Role

Our client, a respected law firm in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco , is seeking an experienced Abogado de Litigio de Propiedad y Contratos to handle complex disputes in these practice areas. This role involves representing clients in litigation related to real estate, property law, and contractual obligations. You will be responsible for managing cases from initiation to resolution, including pleadings, evidence gathering, court appearances, and settlements. The adecuado candidate will possess a strong command of civil procedure, property law, and contract law, coupled with excellent advocacy and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities

- Represent clients in civil litigation matters involving property rights, landlord-tenant disputes, boundary issues, and construction defects.
- Handle litigation arising from breaches of contract, commercial disputes, and partnership disagreements.
- Draft legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and briefs.
- Manage discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.




- Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes of their cases.
- Negotiate settlements and explore alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case progress.
- Stay current with relevant laws and court rules governing property and contract litigation.

Requirements

- Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a specialization in property and contract law.
- Proven experience in handling real estate litigation and contractual disputes.
- Solid understanding of Mexican property law, contract law, and civil procedure.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Member of the relevant Bar Association.
- Commitment to ethical practice and client service.
