Your Job Molex is seeking a Design Engineer to develop mechanical solutions for tooling, fixtures, mechanisms, equipment modifications, and automation projects across different manufacturing processes.
In this role, you will own assigned designs from problem definition and concept development through detailed design, fabrication support, assembly, validation, documentation, and release.

What You Will Do Own mechanical design projects from problem definition and concept development through detailed design, fabrication support, assembly, validation, documentation, and release.




Develop mechanical solutions for tooling, fixtures, mechanisms, equipment modifications, and automation projects that address manufacturing needs.
Translate production requirements into practical and manufacturable solutions using engineering calculations, component and material selection, tolerance analysis, design reviews, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with Controls, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, production teams, and external suppliers to ensure solutions meet agreed technical requirements.
Support fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation to ensure solutions perform as intended in the manufacturing environment.
Provide internal mechanical design ownership for projects involving external integrators by reviewing concepts, interfaces, technical deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and design practices while developing solutions that can be maintained, adapted, and replicated across manufacturing operations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience developing mechanical designs using 3D CAD and engineering drawings.
