About the Role

Our client, a key player in the oil and gas processing industry, is seeking an experienced Ingeniero de Procesos de Separación de Hidrocarburos to join their facility in Querétaro City, Querétaro, MX . This role is vital for the efficient and safe operation of separation units, ensuring the quality and purity of extracted hydrocarbons. You will be involved in process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with operational and environmental standards. The idóneo candidate will have a strong understanding of thermodynamics, phase behavior, and separation technologies within the context of crude oil and natural gas processing. Key Responsibilities

- Design, operate, and optimize hydrocarbon separation processes, including flashing, distillation, and dehydration.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoot operational issues within separation units and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all separation processes meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs;, and operating manuals.
- Conduct safety reviews and ensure compliance with process safety management (PSM) principles.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and laboratory teams to ensure seamless operations.




- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or modifications to separation equipment and systems.
- Monitor environmental performance and implement measures to minimize emissions and waste.
- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in hydrocarbon separation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on hydrocarbon separation.
- Proven experience with separation equipment such as separators, de-ethanizers, and scrubbers.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer principles.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations relevant to hydrocarbon processing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a plant environment and collaborate with operational teams.
- Experience working in the Querétaro City, Querétaro, MX area is beneficial.
