About the Role

Our client, a leading food industry consultancy firm, is seeking a highly experienced Food Process Consultant to join their team serving clients in Chihuahua and surrounding regions. This role involves analyzing, evaluating, and improving food production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and sustainability. You will work closely with food manufacturers, agricultural producers, and related businesses to identify bottlenecks, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The idóneo candidate possesses a strong background in food science, process engineering, quality assurance, and a deep understanding of the food supply chain. This position requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to travel to client sites. We are looking for a results-oriented professional who can deliver tangible improvements and drive innovation within the food sector of Chihuahua.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of food manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost reduction.
- Analyze and optimize production workflows, equipment utilization, and operational procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies for enhancing food quality, safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
- Advise clients on the selection and implementation of new technologies and process innovations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops for client staff on process improvement and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in the food processing sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D;, production,



and quality assurance.
- Manage client relationships and ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Support clients in achieving certifications and adhering to international quality standards.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities with existing and potential clients in Chihuahua.

Requirements

- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in food processing, manufacturing, or consulting.
- Proven expertise in process analysis, optimization, and implementation within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality management systems (e.g., ISO 22000), and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with various food production technologies and equipment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong project management and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to client sites within Chihuahua and potentially other regions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
