## Job Summary**Summary:**To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a **Equipment Maintenance Engineer** located in **Guadalajara North.
** Reporting to the **Sr**.
**Equipment Maintenance Engineer** the **Equipment Maintenance Engineer's** role involves: Mechanical: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipm.
**What a typical day looks like:** * Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
* Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.
* Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
* Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
* Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
* Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
* Records times and problems in equipment logs.
* Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.
* Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
* Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
* Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.




**The experience we're looking to add to our team:** * Typically requires an associate degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training.
* Allocating work to a team of fitters.
* Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
* Fitting new parts.
* **Experience with SMT equipment such as ASMPT/P&P;, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, AOI, SPI, Glue Dispensers, and Press-Fit systems.
*** **Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on electronic manufacturing equipment.
*** **Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
*** **Knowledge of SMT processes and electronics manufacturing environments.
*** Carrying out quality inspections.
* Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.
* Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
* Keeping production managers informed of progress.
* Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
* Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems.
