• $40–$90 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• About 15–20 hours a week, you choose when Prepare and review questions about mechanical assemblies, check AI output against CAD models, and explain the basis for each judgment. AI companies need mechanical design engineers to evaluate systems against practical mechanical design work. You will create questions about assemblies with multiple parts, check the answers against CAD models, and document why they hold up or fall short. You will review AI responses for gaps or incorrect reasoning, refine unclear questions, and note unusual cases or differences between reviewers. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.
What you'll do
• Inspect CAD models containing multiple parts to infer the intended design and identify where the assembly may fail
• Create and refine questions about mechanical design and how assemblies behave, removing ambiguity when needed
• Check answers against CAD models, then log your reasoning and the traceability that supports it
• Review AI-generated answers for gaps or incorrect mechanical reasoning, and log edge cases or reviewer disagreements Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $40–$90 an hour
• Use your mechanical design skills on real CAD assembly and technical reasoning work
• Choose your own hours, about 15–20 a week
• Fully remote and adaptable, no fixed shifts, no commute Who this is for
• Develop and oversee assemblies containing multiple parts from concept onward, with at least five years of experience
• Demonstrated mastery of a major parametric CAD tool, with at least one tool from this list: SolidWorks, NX, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, Onshape, Fusion, or Solid Edge
• Strong written communication in English, plus knowledge of mechanisms and kinematics, design intent, assembly reasoning, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and tolerance judgment
• No AI experience needed. Pay and details
• $40–$90 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Part-time, about 15–20 hours a week; fully remote, Mexico
