About the Role

Our client, a prominent developer in the hospitality and residential construction sector, is looking for an accomplished Director de Proyectos de Construcción to lead their upcoming developments in the vibrant coastal region of Acapulco, Guerrero . This is a critical on-site role requiring extensive experience in managing complex construction projects, particularly those in challenging environments such as coastal areas. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and best practices relevant to the location. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from planning and design through to completion and handover.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including site engineers, architects, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, building codes, and safety regulations specific to construction in Acapulco, Guerrero .
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance.




- Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate project delays and cost overruns.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports, financial summaries, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with local authorities and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Ensure environmental compliance and sustainable construction practices are employed.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale residential and/or hospitality projects, preferably in coastal or tropical environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to the Mexican coast.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD) and BIM tools.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience managing budgets exceeding specified thresholds.
- Must be willing to reside in or commute regularly to Acapulco, Guerrero .
- Cédula Competente required.
