About the Role

Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Especialista en Compras de Equipos de Construcción to manage the acquisition of all heavy machinery, tools, and related equipment, operating fully remotely. This role is essential for ensuring our projects have the necessary resources, optimizing equipment utilization, and achieving cost efficiencies. The adecuado candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction equipment specifications, market pricing, maintenance requirements, and effective negotiation strategies. Key Responsibilities

- Source, negotiate, and purchase construction equipment, machinery, and related parts and services.
- Evaluate equipment specifications, vendor capabilities, and pricing to ensure best value and quality.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key equipment suppliers and rental companies.
- Manage the procurement lifecycle, from requisition to delivery and setup, ensuring compliance with project needs.
- Analyze equipment market trends, total cost of ownership, and leasing versus purchasing options.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to understand equipment requirements and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all equipment purchases meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Process purchase orders and manage vendor contracts for equipment acquisition and maintenance.




- Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, bulk purchasing, or alternative solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, procurement history, and supplier performance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically focused on construction equipment and machinery.
- In-depth knowledge of various types of construction equipment, their technical specifications, and market values.
- Proven experience in negotiating complex equipment purchase agreements and service contracts.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform total cost of ownership analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement tasks in a fully remote setting.
- Understanding of construction project timelines and logistics.
- Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is a strong asset.
