Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute creative menus that highlight modern interpretations of traditional Michoacán dishes, using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.
- Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen brigade, fostering a culture of culinary excellence and teamwork.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in food quality, preparation, and presentation.
- Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and food costs to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and safety within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management on menu planning,



special events, and promotions.
- Conduct regular food tastings and quality control checks.
- Stay informed about culinary trends, particularly within Mexican cuisine, and incorporate relevant innovations.
- Ensure efficient workflow and scheduling for kitchen staff.
- Contribute to the overall success and reputation of the restaurant as a premier dining destination in Morelia.

Requirements

- Significant experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, with a demonstrated passion for and expertise in regional Mexican cuisine, particularly Michoacán.
- Proven ability to innovate and modernize traditional dishes while respecting their essence.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Expertise in menu development, costing, and inventory control.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
- Creative flair and a commitment to high-quality presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to Morelia, Michoacán, MX .
