About the Role

Our client, a renowned hospital in Morelia, Michoacán, is seeking an experienced Farmacéutico Hospitalario with specialized expertise in Farmacovigilancia. This role is crucial for ensuring patient safety by monitoring, detecting, and preventing adverse drug reactions (ADRs). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing robust pharmacovigilance systems, analyzing safety data, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to promote the safe use of medications. Key Responsibilities

- Establish and manage the hospital's pharmacovigilance program, ensuring compliance with national regulations.
- Collect, assess, and report suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and medication errors.
- Analyze pharmacovigilance data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for intervention.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize medication-related risks and improve patient safety.
- Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and the public about ADRs and safe medication practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Participate in hospital committees related to patient safety, medication use, and quality improvement.




- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all pharmacovigilance activities.
- Stay current with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and best practices in pharmacovigilance.
- Contribute to research initiatives related to drug safety and effectiveness.

Requirements

- Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Active and valid Pharmacist license in Mexico.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical pharmacy, with at least 1 year focused on pharmacovigilance.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacovigilance principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and reporting ADRs.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in relevant pharmacovigilance databases and software.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
