About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and organized Remote Project Planning and Control Specialist to join their globally distributed team, focusing on large-scale construction projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Mexico. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated project plans, schedules, and budgets, utilizing advanced software and methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction project lifecycles, and a proven ability to manage complex data. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and management across different time zones. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful, efficient, and on-time completion of our construction endeavors worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates for construction projects. Implement and manage robust project scheduling using critical path methodology (CPM) and other relevant techniques. Monitor project progress against baseline plans, identify variances, and develop corrective action strategies. Track project costs, manage budgets, and provide regular financial reports and forecasts. Facilitate communication and collaboration among remote project teams, stakeholders, and management. Utilize project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) for planning, scheduling, and control.



Analyze project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential impacts. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and potential issues. Support project teams in resolving scheduling and resource conflicts.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost control within the construction industry. Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project is mandatory. Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and common challenges. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, international team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deadlines independently. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is highly desirable. Must be legally authorized to work as a contractor in Mexico.
