About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, including ISR, IVA, and other applicable taxes.
- Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations, staying updated on any changes.
- Manage the payroll process, including calculation of salaries, deductions, and social security contributions.
- Reconcile payroll and tax accounts and investigate any discrepancies.




- Liaise with tax authorities and respond to inquiries or audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation related to tax and payroll.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Provide analysis and reports on tax and payroll matters to management.
- Implement and maintain internal controls for tax and payroll processes.
- Support any special tax projects or initiatives as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong specialization in tax and payroll.
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax laws and payroll procedures.
- Proficiency with accounting software and payroll systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience in the international trade sector is a plus.
- Must be based in Mexico.
