About the Role

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a highly skilled Técnico de Instalación y Mantenimiento de Sistemas de Aire Acondicionado y Refrigeración for our client in the vibrant city of Mérida, Yucatán . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of diverse cooling and heating systems for commercial and residential clients. The idóneo candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of HVACR principles, installation best practices, and troubleshooting complex system issues. You will be responsible for conducting installations, performing routine maintenance, and executing repairs on a wide array of equipment, including chillers, split systems, ductwork, and refrigeration units. This position demands technical expertise, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Install new air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems according to manufacturer guidelines and building codes. Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment to ensure efficiency and prevent future problems. Diagnose and repair a variety of issues, including refrigerant leaks, electrical component failures, and mechanical malfunctions. Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for installation and repair purposes. Service and maintain systems such as central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, walk-in coolers, and freezers. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including diagnostics,



repairs, and parts used. Provide clear and professional communication with clients regarding system status and recommendations. Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and efficient manner. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in HVACR technology.

Requirements

Proven experience as an HVACR Technician. Strong understanding of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration principles. Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various HVACR systems. Experience with electrical diagnostics and mechanical repairs. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals. Knowledge of EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Universal) are required.
