About the Role

Our client is seeking a nurturing and experienced Trabajador Social con Enfoque en Primera Infancia to join their dedicated team in Cancún, Quintana Roo . This crucial role focuses on supporting families and young children (ages 0-6) by addressing developmental, social, emotional, and environmental needs. You will conduct home visits, provide counseling, connect families with resources, and advocate for child welfare within the community. The adecuado candidate possesses specialized knowledge in early childhood development, strong empathetic skills, and a passion for empowering families during these critical early years. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's development and family needs.
- Provide direct social work services, including counseling and support to families with young children.
- Facilitate access to early intervention services, healthcare, childcare, and educational resources.
- Conduct home visits to assess living conditions and provide support in the home environment.
- Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families within social service systems.
- Educate parents and caregivers on child development, parenting skills, and available resources.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, educators,



and other early childhood professionals.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and prepare detailed reports.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood social work.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) with a specialization or significant coursework in early childhood development or family services.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working directly with families and young children.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, trauma-informed care, and family systems.
- Experience in case management, advocacy, and resource navigation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse families.
- Proficiency in relevant assessment tools and documentation practices.
- Familiarity with the social service landscape in Quintana Roo is an advantage.
- Spanish fluency is required; knowledge of indigenous languages is a plus.
- Commitment to promoting child welfare and family well-being.
