About the Role

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a highly competent Técnico de Mantenimiento de Maquinaria Agrícola y de Construcción for our client based in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes . This critical role involves the comprehensive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy machinery used in agricultural and construction sectors. The adecuado candidate will possess a deep understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and power trains common to this type of equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that tractors, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity for our client's operations. This is a hands-on position requiring significant technical skill and problem-solving ability.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a variety of agricultural and construction equipment.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and assess wear and tear.
- Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and schematics to guide repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor time.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and perform tests to confirm repairs.




- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to schedule maintenance and address equipment concerns.
- Assist with the assembly and testing of new equipment as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, and manage tools and equipment effectively.

Requirements

- Substantial experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Agricultural Equipment Technician.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and power trains.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data.
- Experience using diagnostic software and tools specific to heavy machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety best practices for working with heavy equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physical strength and stamina to work with large components in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly desirable.
