About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Automotive Diagnostic Technician to work remotely. This role is essential for providing expert remote support for vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and guiding on-site technicians through repair procedures. Key Responsibilities

- Provide remote diagnostic support for a wide range of automotive issues.
- Analyze diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and technical data to identify root causes.
- Guide field technicians through complex repair and diagnostic procedures via phone, video calls, and digital platforms.
- Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and repair manuals to assist with problem resolution.
- Document all diagnostic findings, recommended actions, and resolutions accurately.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on product performance and recurring issues.




- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective and timely remote support.
- Assist in developing and updating diagnostic guides and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certifications (e.g., L1) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as an automotive technician with a strong focus on diagnostics.
- Proficiency with advanced automotive diagnostic software and hardware.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle electrical systems, engine performance, and drivability issues.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for remote interaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and troubleshoot under pressure.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.
- Experience with remote support platforms and virtual collaboration tools is a significant advantage.
