About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing production processes to identify opportunities for productivity improvements and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement new work methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct time studies and motion analysis to establish standard times and improve workflow efficiency.
- Design and optimize workstation layouts to enhance ergonomics and safety, minimizing physical strain.
- Implement and maintain 5S programs and other visual management techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate new technologies and equipment effectively.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for operators on new methods and processes.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs)



related to productivity, efficiency, and method adherence.
- Participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations detailing analysis, recommendations, and project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ergonomic standards in all workplace designs.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, focusing on productivity, methods analysis, or process improvement.
- Proven experience with time and motion studies, work sampling, and methods engineering.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and standard work.
- Familiarity with ergonomic principles and workstation design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with production staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on the production floor in Mexicali .
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is essential.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
