About the Role

Our client, an established and highly respected early learning center in Tijuana, Baja California , is seeking a dedicated and certified Montessori Preschool Teacher. This position is adecuado for an educator passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and a love for learning in young children through the Montessori philosophy. You will be responsible for creating a prepared environment that supports self-directed learning, individual exploration, and the holistic development of each child. The successful candidate will guide children through Montessori activities, observe their development closely, and collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure a nurturing and enriching educational experience. This is a crucial on-site role in a vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain a Montessori classroom environment that is orderly, aesthetically pleasing, and conducive to self-directed learning.
- Guide children individually and in small groups through the Montessori curriculum, including practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, and cultural subjects.
- Observe and record children's progress, interests, and needs, using Montessori principles for assessment.
- Facilitate the development of children's independence, self-discipline, social skills, and emotional well-being.
- Introduce new materials and activities in a clear and engaging manner, demonstrating proper usage.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom, adhering to all center policies and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents about their child's development, progress, and classroom activities.




- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share best practices and support the overall school community.
- Participate in professional development workshops and meetings to stay current with Montessori education and child development best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any pertinent information regarding the children.

Requirements

- A recognized Montessori teaching certification (e.g., AMI, AMS) for early childhood or preschool levels.
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Montessori teacher or in a similar early childhood education role.
- Deep understanding and commitment to the Montessori philosophy and methodology.
- Excellent observation skills and the ability to individualize instruction.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to create a positive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and communication.
- Must be able to work on-site in Tijuana, Baja California . Fluency in Spanish is required; English proficiency is a plus.
