About the Role

Our client, a major healthcare institution in Torreón, Coahuila, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Farmacéutico Jefe to lead our comprehensive Pharmacy Services and Dispensary Department. This leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of medication management, from procurement and inventory control to sterile compounding and outpatient pharmacy services. The idóneo candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of pharmaceutical operations, and a commitment to ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective medication distribution. Key Responsibilities

- Direct and supervise all activities within the Pharmacy Services and Dispensary Department.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for medication management, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Manage the procurement, storage, and inventory control of pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
- Oversee the sterile compounding services, ensuring adherence to USP standards and cGMP.
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to all patient care areas and outpatients.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and patient safety.
- Manage the departmental budget and resource allocation effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments, including nursing,



medical staff, and administration, to optimize medication use and patient care.
- Implement and utilize technology to enhance pharmacy operations and efficiency.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and performance improvement projects.

Requirements

- Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Mexico.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hospital pharmacy management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding and inventory management.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, USP chapters, and cGMP guidelines.
- Strong leadership, organizational, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in pharmacy information systems and automation technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage change effectively.
- Commitment to patient safety and excellence in pharmaceutical care.
