About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to manage the development of major tourist projects in the beautiful city of Cancún, Quintana Roo . This role is critical for ensuring the successful and efficient execution of construction activities on-site. The idóneo candidate will have a robust background in supervising complex building projects, preferably within the hospitality or tourism sector. You will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all work is performed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications. The role requires constant interaction with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the client's representatives, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and direct all construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce strict safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Monitor project progress daily, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to design documents.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other project documentation.




- Facilitate effective communication among all project team members, including site staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Manage material procurement and delivery to the site, ensuring timely availability.
- Address and resolve on-site construction challenges and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in construction supervision, with a significant portion focused on hotel, resort, or mixed-use developments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and complex project schedules.
- Thorough understanding of construction means and methods, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
- Experience with construction management software is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Quintana Roo . Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
