About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Transportation and Traffic Engineer to join their team in Zapopan, Jalisco, MX. This role is crucial for optimizing the flow of traffic, enhancing road safety, and planning for future transportation needs within the region. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong analytical aptitude, a deep understanding of traffic engineering principles, and experience with transportation modeling software. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from intersection design to regional transportation planning. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct traffic studies, including volume counts, speed analysis, and accident investigations.
- Design traffic control systems, signal timing plans, and intersection improvements.
- Develop transportation plans, including long-range forecasts and feasibility studies.
- Perform traffic simulation and modeling using software such as VISSIM, SIDRA, or similar.
- Analyze highway capacity and level of service for various transportation facilities.
- Develop geometric designs for roadways, interchanges, and associated infrastructure.




- Ensure that transportation designs adhere to safety standards and traffic engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and architects on integrated transportation solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation or Traffic Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation and traffic engineering.
- Proficiency in traffic analysis and simulation software (e.g., HCS, VISSIM, SYNCHRO, Auto CAD).
- Strong understanding of traffic flow theory, safety principles, and highway design standards.
- Experience in data collection and analysis for transportation projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with local traffic regulations and transportation planning in Zapopan, Jalisco, MX is an advantage.
